A fellow blogger suggested the library start an online book discussion group. The book proosed is Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith. This book is described as "a stunning thriller, one of the most talked about debut novels of the year".

If you are interested in joining a discussion of this book, please let me know.

This book is not currently available at the Bridgewater Public Library but can be borrowed from another library. It is currently owned by East Freetown, Norton, Swansea and Wareham which are still loaning to us. The Bridgewater Public Library will buy a copy when money becomes available.

For now I urge you to try to get a hold of the book and start reading.

  1. I just finished reading Child 44 and found it intriguing. Here's my first discussion question. Do you think Leo, Raisa, Andrei, Nesterov, Ivan and other characters were influenced more by poverty or the political system. Explain
